Day 6 EuroVelo6o ride. Longest riding day so far from Rocheline to Berry-Bouy France. A total of 76 miles. The ride started in the cool of the morning and we covered the first 40 miles very quickly. The road was smooth and straight. Small town after small town flew by. We felt we would be in the hotel by the pool in short order. As it turned out, the next 36 miles took about 4 hours. The garmin gods were working against us. And, with about 20 miles to go, it got a little hilly. My biking companions Jay and Tom handled them quite nicely. I often had to call on my granny gear to get me to the top of the hill. But regardless how long it took, I made it to the top. In addition, the temperature moderated and it only made it into the low 90's. So, all in all a fabulous day riding a bike in France.
