Beautiful day for riding a bicycle across France.  The weather was perfect even with a headwind.  It was a little cool in the morning but warmed up nicely.  Our ride took us from Losne to Besancon for a total of about 57 miles.  We followed the path along a canal near the Saone River and the river Doubs..  It was interesting seeing how the canal handled traffic, especially going through the lock system.  Two of the most memorable views were the Notre Dame of Dole, a magnificent cathedral and the Citadel of Besancon.  Due to the fact it is a Saturday, the EuroVelo6 had many riders.  One had to be consistently vigilant to avoid any accidents.  Pro type racers to families with children took to the bicycle path to enjoy the wonderful day.  Enough of the verbage.  Enjoy the pics.
